My dogs nose has gone dry and crusty..

Anyone know what this is? And why it's happened?
Can I put something on it or is it a sign of illness? She's 14 btw

We use coconut oil on our twos noses, it’s super moisturising and it won’t harm if she licks it off too x

It is harmless then, so they just dry out sometimes? I was worried as I thought dogs noses should always be cold and wet..
