How to entertain a hog post op?

mekitgubakuds · 22/01/2021 21:31

My dog is having a little op in a couple of weeks , he's 6 months old and seems to be just hitting his crazy teenage phase. He's going to have to wear a martini glass collar. What can I use to keep him calm and entertained? I thought about kongs but will he be able to hold and chew them with the collar on? He's not had to wear one before?

Clearly that should say dog and not hog in the title! Damn not being able to edit on this site! Grin

What's he having done?

If it's abdominal or his Crown Jewels get the vet to put him in a medivest instead of the collar, then he can have frozen kibble out of a kong. Much more comfortable for them too.

It's Crown Jewels. He won't wear the vest. When I have put clothes on him (Christmas jumper , rain coat etc, he's runs in circles biting at it trying to pull it off himself 🤦🏽‍♀️

Invest in a cone from a pet shop. We got one with a padded trim. Ddog had previously wrecked my paintwork with a basic vet one. Was a tenner and still have it in 1 piece!!

Thanks @Santaiscovidfree I will look for one
