Magic hair catcher

Hi, ddog, who is a Labrador, is a mighty shedder (and at 8 months is also a mighty shredder, but that's another question!)

I keep seeing devices that I can bing in the washing machine to catch the hair and stop all my clothes being covered in hair.

Is it a blag? Has anyone got done that they recommend? I have fairly low standards, but my black socks are now gray....

I have malamutes believe me they are the biggest shredders of all dogs. They blow their coat not shed . There is no magic hair catcher. Brush your dog everyday outside and you can keep hair out your house. Don't wear black if I do I look like fuzzy felt. I also would invest in a coat blower. Plug it in outside and blow their fur. It like its snows when mine are shedding. You can buy them from amazon about £50 also double up as a coat dryer.

If you mean the things that look like plastic with paw silhouettes cut out - they don’t work.
For mucky things I use a large bag like this

I am really strict about separating washing, so that tea towels etc are not washed with anything that might have hair, like bedding.
And I use Vamoosh as a washing machine cleaner . 2 black labs here, not as bad as my previous goldie, but bad enough...

I clean my washing machine on a 90 degree wash with a dishwasher tablet in the drum on its own, it destroys dog hair. I also have house clothes which I change into as soon as I get home, trackies and t shirts, and I just go straight out in "normal" clothes!

Dammit! I wanted the magic random plastic paw shaped thingies to be miraculous!

Oh well, the only people I see these days are other dog walkers...

I watched the malamute episode on the crazy puppy parlour program!! It looked intense...

We use a blaster for our Saint. She freaks out at sight of it but it's fantastic for blowing out dirt out of the coat. I groom daily. Keeps the work load more manageable in terms of grooming.
