Dog neutered - advice

Hi!

We got our dog neutered yesterday and I've been able to find online how long to keep the cone of shame on, but how long do I keep the dressing on where he had his injection? (On his front leg) Thanks!

I've always taken that off fairly quickly.

I've done as pp, taken it off within an hour or two of him coming home.

Keep the cone on as long as the stitches are in. Take off the dressing on the next day (if it stays on that long!) but dont hesitate to give your vet a call to confirm

I had to keep the cone on 10 days. I left it on for walks which was awkward but other dog owners are aware that he had an op.

If he has a dressing on his foreleg then take it off.

The cone only needs to be on when he's not supervised so he doesn't lick - if you're watching then he's fine
