Greyhound playgroups

Been reading up on greyhounds since homing my rescue lad just before Christmas.
One book mentions greyhound playgroups, where meet ups are arranged at enclosed areas, where the dogs can run off lead.
Anyone know of places like this, and if there's a national website ( I'm in the North West)?

Hi OP!

I have no advice on greyhounds, but there lots of enclosed dog fields all over the country that you can hire. I go to a beagle meet at the one nearest to us - one girl hires the field for two hours (we then pay her our share) and the beagles have free run of the field for that time. They also have free parking, water and a poo bin for us to use!

You could try looking on Facebook for a greyhound group or local dog walking group and see if anyone knows of anything or would be interested in setting something up?

www.dogwalkingfields.co.uk is a good place to start.

Is there a FB group or similar for the rehomed hounds from the shelter you got your greyhound from?

We post about going to the secure field on ours and have a few different dogs come up and meet us and split the cost.

Also have a look on FB for different greyhound groups in your area.
