Feeding pup human food?

Dpup has always been fussy but we found a combo that worked with kibble and tinned cannagan. Suddenly he’s not interested at all so I put some of our food down - turkey and veg, gammon and veg. He loves it and honestly it’s not really more expensive than his dog food and making an extra serving when I’m cooking for 5 is easy, but how do I know I’m getting the balance right for him?

I would be frightened of not getting the right nutrient balance and also of accidental poisoning.
Onions, garlic, raisins/sultanas, avocado, chocolate, Sharon fruit are all toxic to dogs.
There are probably more out there.

I do give my dog human food regularly and I have given her the occasional full human meal too but the bulk of her diet is dog food.
To feed a diet 100% formulated yourself I think is just asking for nutrient imbalance.
