has anyone tried a calming collar? I have a rescue dog who shows anxiety when anyone passes the house.

They can work on some dogs and others make no difference. Unfortunately the only way is to try.

Other things to try i possible can you block of what your dog can see eg blinds at the windows if it is the visual that is worrying them. If it is noise that does make it harder

Blinds or window film (obscuring) might be helpful. I used an adaptil collar on my girl when she became very reactive for months after her season and I do think it helped.
However.. long term join ReactivedogsUK (fb group but also online as of next week) and work with the CARE protocol.. they are very supportive and helpful for all kinds of reactivity; my dog has improved hugely as a result. Really worth joining !

Thanks for the replies. Will definitely try the collar and the group
