Can anyone recommend a drying coat type of thing for a sprocker spaniel? He's like a sponge and takes ages to dry. At the moment he's having a house down after each walk cos he gets so muddy.

Thanks

Ruff and Tumble. They're great but have low stock at the moment - I know as I've been trying to order one!

Ruff and Tumble are fab

They use these kind of towels (different brand) at hydrotherapy, its the same foam like material as the cooling towels if you happen to have one. After washing the dog down, rub and wring out, it gets a tonne of water off the fur then use the toweling coat to keep warm if air drying.
The towels go like cardboard if leave to dry out fully so go back in container www.amazon.co.uk/Groomers-AQ002-Aquasorb-Towel-Large/dp/B01FD5Z5OM?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

They use air blaster at hydro which are great if got a thick double coat/long haired dog to blow dry regularly but the cheaper ones £50-100 can be noisy.

Definitely ruffandtumble. Pricey but worth it. I leave it by the front door and put it on the minute we get in the house. Then I can take my shoes and coats off etc and not worry about him spreading mud all over the house.

Plus you can have it personalised, so that people know your dog is spoilt Wink

One of these. They run big.

I’ve just bought a medium Ruff & Tumble drying coat from Feathers & Paws. They have 10% off first orders: FP10.

We’ve got a ruff and tumble coat that we keep in the car , for indoors we have a drying bag ( the original doggy bag ) it’s excellent , he comes out all clean and shiny.

Thanks all.

ThatLibraryMiss - does that one cover the legs as well?

Thanks all. ThatLibraryMiss - does that one cover the legs as well?
No, it goes over the head and closes under the tail, then it wraps around the body. I wanted him to be able to walk in it.
