Mud Daddy?

Has anyone got one of these and would you recommend it?
I often walk my dd's retrievers and you can imagine the mess they bring back in the house. I do my best rubbing them down but am sick of the mud all over the house.
The Mud Daddy video makes it look really impressive. Is it?!

Yes! I fill with hot water and a little shampoo before I leave for a walk and leave on the doorstep- or put in the car of where I’m parking isn’t too muddy.

I’ve got one and it’s excellent , it’s equally useful for horses legs .

Personally, I think it's an overpriced "flower shower" - which is what I used for years. But now I literally have a dog shower plumbed in in my garage. I saw the idea on a website last year, and a friend helped out with it. It is wonderful - ad the dog almost loves it, although he does feel that the addition of some mud to the water would make it just perfect.

I find a vacuum flask of warm water and a J cloth work well enough. Put a drop or two of shampoo in the flask, pour the water into a big plastic jug and dip the J cloth in that. Dog loves it.

A man with a retriever recommended this to me today as I trailed along with my muddy pooch!

Pre covid I was a dog walker and I used a hozelock pump shower. It was around £25 and did the same job as a mud daddy. Took enough water to quickly hose down a couple of mucky pups. You just pump the handle to create pressure and it sees the water out of the shower hose

Another vote for the Hozelock - they are sold as portable camping showers, and usually inexpensive.

Try a Boot Buddy when you're out and about

Works well on dogs and you could fill from a thermos just before use if you'd rather it was warm.

PS: just been to their website to link it, and discovered they now do one with slightly different bristles specifically for dogs
