Post-spay meds - what is normal?

I live outside the UK in a country with a different approach to animal care (quality medical care is generally very limited). We just had our beagle spayed and the vet has given two antibiotics and a supplement I have never heard of...she has no sign of infection but on the other hand, I don’t want her to get one...can anyone share what they were given for post-spay meds? Thanks!

Ours was given a painkiller before leaving but no medicine to take home with us.

Thanks. That’s what I thought. The vets here give ABs routinely for everything...

My girl was spayed on Wednesday (keyhole) She had painkillers there, and was sent home with some but they gave her terrible diarrhoea so as she seems perfectly happy today I have stopped them today.

Mine was done in the UK about 2 months ago
Got antibiotics and pain meds before coming home
And then 5 days of pain meds

Just a pain killer as she came home

We give pain relief as part of the pre-med which lasts 4 - 6 hours. Anti inflammatory given post op, with a further 3 days pain relief on discharge. Antibiotics should not be meeded.

Its a hysterectomy, as a human, id want pain relief! A dog cannot decide for itself so pain relief should be provided imo
