Alternative flea & tick treatment

I did use bravecto but recently found out it can cause seizures. One of my dogs is epileptic so I won't use it anymore. Frontline is rubbish. I live rural so we do get lots of ticks. I'm looking for a different flea and tick treatment that works. Any suggestions.

We use Billy No Mates on our Labrador.

It's all natural, we've not seen any critters on him since we started using it and he seems to like it too 👍🏻

@Pantouffle Yes I've heard of Billy no mates. Problem is after one walk I brushed 18 ticks off one dog and 15 off the other. I'm wondering would it cope. Its not tick season now but this year I've never known it so bad.

One of my dogs is epileptic and was ok for a bit on the seresto collar but fits did increase one year- it may have had nothing to do with the collar but I was not prepared to risk it. Maybe worth asking your vet about it.

However we now comb after each walk and check daily after each walk. We also run a lint roller over his fur after each walk and get off a lot of the larva with this.

We too are in a very high tick area but although we do get off lots of the little buggers only a few attached this year and then were taken off in less than 12 hours or so.

Billy No Mates did nothing for any of our dogs

@PollyRoulson The vet did mention sorresto collar. I have malamutes so huge thick fur coats so just combing would not work as their fur is so thick and deep. He also mentioned something with an A sounds like advocate?

I use Neem oil, diluted in almond oil & brushed into their coats, then check them after being out & remove any of the blighters that get through with a tick remover.
