Fleas

I treat my dog every month with frontline topical. A few weeks ago I was scratching his belly and was horrified to see a couple of fleas (explained his scratching). So I bought another tablet treatment and also a can of flea spray for my home.
Fast forward a month and I'm STILL getting bitten. I check my dog daily and am still finding flea poo on him and the odd flea (usually only 1 or 2) so remove them immediately.
I have washed and treated my bed multiple times (and still do regularly), I have washed and sprayed his own bed, the car, his harness. I've even had new carpets downstairs (not cos of the fleas) and I still keep finding the odd one on him.
Its starting to drive me insane as I'm covered in bites. I shall continue to wash bedding and spray things but has anyone any other tips? or why I can't seem to get rid.
Not sure why I bother buying the expensive frontline plus when fleas can still live on him.

Frontline doesn't work anymore. You need something prescribed like bravecto and you need indorex spray for the house.

We've got a dog & 2 cats (house, because 1 is deaf & the other has no interest in outside of I'm not out there). My vet said that this year has been awful for fleas! We're currently battling them. I use stuff from the vet usually but as it seems to not be working I'm now trying a combination of Advantage, flea collars (from the vet) & spraying the house with indorex (& getting Dh who is on furlough to move all the furniture with me so we can fully vacuum & spray behind/under). The vet suggested the advantage/collar/spray combo. I already vacuum daily. We're using deet based insect repellent on us. If this doesn't work we'll be getting a quote from the council to have the whole house fully done! It does seem to be working though, touch wood.

I've used Indorex spray in the house. So, looks like another vet trip again then!! I had a suspicion the Frontline just wasn't working.
I keep reading though that if you have fleas in your house, they will just keep jumping on your dog and can take a few hours to die from the frontline so I have no clue if that's what's happening.

Just rang the vets and they will do a prescription for me. Fingers crossed this works!
