Equafleece

Hi, I want to buy an equafleece coat for my working cocker spaniel. Thing is I’ve measured her so many times and it just keeps coming up saying her measurements don’t match any of their sizes. It’s REALLY getting on my nerves now and is making me want to tell equafleece to shove their highly recommended coats.
Anyone any ideas?

The same happened for me so I rang them and they told me what to go for. I love the coats but it's a slight compromise on fit for our long legged JRT cross - I would have the same issue everywhere though.

QueenOfLabradors · 21/11/2020 14:32

They are brilliant coats and I haven't found a cheaper copy-brand to beat them. I reckon focus on your dog's chest measurement, make sure that's correct, and order a longer back length if the exact one isn't available. What is their returns policy like?

EnglishRain · 21/11/2020 14:38

Email them the measurements and they'll recommend a size for you.

Just speak to them and ask their opinion - I sent an email with my dog's measurements and received a really quick response suggesting a size that fits perfectly.

Do contact them or alternatively Spring Things are really approachable. They make high quality coats but also will adapt them for thinner active dogs which I guess your springer is.

My dog also didn’t fit the sizes and they were very helpful when I called them , I highly recommend them as the products wear , wash and dry really well and last for years .

SkeletonSkins · 21/11/2020 15:06

I agree email them and my other idvice is get the one without arms cause it’s so much easier to put on.

Stellaris22 · 21/11/2020 19:27

I have a basset hound and it kept coming up with a message saying the measurements were wrong. I emailed them and they were so friendly and helpful. It's worth contacting them to get the right size as ours fits our basset perfectly despite her weird breed shape.

JacobReesMogadishu · 21/11/2020 19:29

Their website states if this happens ring them. I did, told the lady the measurements and she said which size would be best and it was perfect.

Si1ver · 21/11/2020 19:29

I emailed them over a weekend and they got back to me with recommendations for my slender SBT within a couple of hours. They were so helpful.

Coat fits perfectly as well.

Great, thanks everyone I’ll contact them on Monday. Just another quick question, do they need a waterproof coat over the top? We mostly walk on the beach are they ok on sand?

No they are waterproof. Shd be ok on sand

Floralnomad · 21/11/2020 22:14

Mine has a selection of jumpers , suits and coats , he wallows in puddles in the suit and still comes out barely damp . You do need to wash them as directed though to get the best out of them .

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 21/11/2020 23:08

Mine is a funny shape (dachshund cross). I emailed them and they were super helpful

Girlintheframe · 22/11/2020 07:28

We had the same issue but turns out we were measuring him wrong. It can be quite tricky.
Definitely call them Monday as the equafleece are brilliant. Keeps Ddog warm and dry. It can hold a surprisingly amount of water but still keeps Ddog cosy. Super easy to clean and dry too. We've had ours for a couple of years and it still looks brand new. Love it so much that we are going to get a 2nd one.

puttergal · 22/11/2020 18:42

I pay fir longer legs fir my dog.
I've also found a cheaper maker (not as good quality) on Etsy as I need several as my dog wears them all winter (she loves mud, but not baths!)
