Range cookers good or bad?

We're redesigning our kitchen and almost certainly want a range cooker, although I've heard they're like marmite- you either love or hate them. If we were to get one we'd want a dual fuel 100cm and haven't seen any negatives about the rangemaster.
Since we have a very curious toddler my main concern is child safety, I'd love to hear any recommendations for cookers that don't get too hot on the outside. Other things to consider is whether they heat evenly and quickly, have a separate grill section and preferably have two glass oven doors (although I realise we may have to compromise on this since we're going for a 100cm!)
Any opinions?Smile

Grin Don't recommend cooking dogs. The hair stinks.

Love our range master 100cm induction. The oven door does get hot but you can feel it radiating so our toddler has never touched it. With the 100 you only gain one extra hob ring but although the 5th ring is helpful I’ve not yet needed a 6th. Regular size oven trays do not fit in the right hand oven. Food cooks evenly. Great cakes. Grill pan on sliders is handy. I think with some models you can lock/deactivate the hob controls but not the grill or oven. Like I said we do love it but it’s not without niggles. I wouldn’t change it for anything though.

And after talking to a friend who had an older model they are miffed you can’t remove the fan cover strip at the back to clean. So if anyone knows a way to get to it I’d be grateful!

I've got a 90cm duel fuel Rangemaster with 2 ovens and separate grill, only one glass door though. 5 hobs more than enough only really use two except at Christmas.

Had it 10 years and absolutely no complaints.
