Does you dog get worried when you sneeze?

Is my dog the only one who will come dashing from any place in the house to check I’m ok when I sneeze?

It really makes me chuckle - he will dash in from the garden or trot down the stairs and jump on my lap with a very worried look.

Aww my dearly departed dog did he was so weird about it, he would get up and politely leave Grin

BobbinThreadbare123 · 09/11/2020 14:45

Yes. Mine does. Leaps out of his skin!

BiteyShark · 09/11/2020 14:47

Yes 😁

PollyRoulson · 09/11/2020 14:51

If they do it is great (and easy trick) to teach them to fetch a tissue when you do sneeze. Smile

MLMbotsgoaway · 09/11/2020 14:52

@PollyRoulson haha oh that’s a great idea.

Our Labrador is terrified when my dp sneezes but not remotely bothered when I do! And I sneeze very loudly indeed!

MLMbotsgoaway · 09/11/2020 15:00

He worries when anyone sneezes - he ran up to a rather startled person in the park once and sort of pawed at them (before I get flamed - in the actual dog section of the park).

That is sweet @MLMbotsgoaway are you ok human Smile

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 09/11/2020 19:02

one of my GSDs did, but he was a Professinal Nurse type and very hot on constant supervision

Our last guide dog pup used to like to come right up to you and sneeze in your face just for badness. Was not so keen to have it done back to him though :D ....he'd sulk.

KatnissNeverdone · 09/11/2020 19:02

My collie will come running and then sits with her head right under my chin. I think she's worried about my head exploding.

LunaNorth · 09/11/2020 19:05

One of mine does, she’s a Boston terrier. She jumps up and licks and nibbles the sneezer’s nose. I think she’s checking it hasn’t shot off Grin

Lurchermom · 09/11/2020 19:06

My in-laws sheltie does this Grin she gets ever so panicked by it!

MLMbotsgoaway · 09/11/2020 19:28

@LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow aw that’s funny and cute.

We call our border terrier Dr Sneeze as he always rushes over to check we're OK if we sneeze.

Trumpyouredone · 09/11/2020 20:13

Not sneezes, but she always checks me if I gasp when chatting on the phone, I must be quite dramatic, because of ddog reaction I realise I do it quite a lot!

BiteyShark · 09/11/2020 21:32

I can't decide whether it's fear or he thinks it's a call to arms when I sneeze. The thing is when he sneezes it's like 'what's all the fuss about, it's only a sneeze'

MLMbotsgoaway · 09/11/2020 22:23

@BiteyShark mine is one who sneezes with excitement - so never sure why he appears to think I’m in imminent danger whenever I do it.
