The poshest family I know own a gorgeous wolfhound named who's always covered in mud & loves children & a little Jack Russell😁

All the multi’s and established families around here have working dogs.
Labs with black being most frequent, but a few fox reds and the odd chocolate. Sandringhams being the most sought after. Chocolates generally considered a tad nouveau.
Cockers are popular as are JRs.
Working dogs generally much more popular. Even our sweet setter is an Upperwood and we’re not grand at all.

People more concerned about source than breed per se.

Our next dog is going to be a wolfhound or a big lurcher, does that mean I'll become posh?

Two big houses near us have labradors, as in big houses on posh estates. I know a very posh man who had labradors and springers, but now also has an accidental puppy from a short term relationship between them.
My poshest relatives have boxers and dalmatians. I have a rescue who is like a kangaroo crossed with a teddy.

Poshest families I know (aristocratic): cocker spaniels and black labs.

Poshest person I know (son of a duke) has an English bulldog.

We are in a "naice" area & surrounded by cockapoo, ladradoodles, cavachons, bichons etc which I suppose is more middle class... however 5 miles away in the heart of the countryside (where the old money lives) are plenty of labs, cocker & springer spaniels...

Well, I've owned every colour Lab their is and currently have a fox red and a yellow.

@kirktonhouse I’m sorry to say you won’t. I have two wolfhounds and I am definitely not posh.
The poshest person I know has a Tibetan Terrier.

@Brightonbabe5 we also dog walk some of them and sit for them and it’s like a military operation who can be where as 1 of the American bulldogs and now cane corso is aggressive so can’t be with the little ones the chihuahuas have formed a pack and can go for you. She is lovely but barking mad but lovely she cooks them all m & s chicken for tea and they can potter about in there segregated areas as she leaves the doors open but has the heating full blast all the time and has cream carpets throughout but 2 cleaners a day

Italian greyhounds, Great Danes and Vizlas. None have collars as they don't need them on the estate..

The poshest people i know multis don't have dogs. They are too posh to have them trapsing over their white carpets.
