Puppy poops

New puppy is 11 weeks, arrived with us at 8.

Since we've gradually weined onto new food all went well.
Yeaterday was pups first puppy groom. He shit himself when it came to the dryer (fine with hairdryer but new surroundings etc). Yesterday I also did the weight conversion with some scales and realised since been fully on the new food he hasn't been having enough so yesterday was also the first day of having the proper full amount for his weight.

He still got the runs today and had me up at 4.30 to go out. I'm reading conflicting things about halving his food with rice. Any advice?

If no better by tomorrow we will take him to the vets.

I think food feeding amounts tend to over estimate how much they should have and certainly over feeding them can make their poos very soft and under feeding rock hard.

I would therefore go more on the state of the poo and visual weight guides online as to how much to feed.

It does seem like an awful lot! That makes perfect sense @BiteyShark thanks

How many meals is he having?

It was 3 but I'm going to lower the amount of food given, over 4 and save a bit back for training treat throughout the day.
