Wire fox terrier or Irish terrier

Does anyone have either of the two breeds. Thinking about them for our next dog. We currently have a JRT. What are their coats like? Would not be showing them but would look to do agility or obedience with them.

I don't own either but IME experience of knowing one of each long-term, the Irish terrier is generally chill, can get a bit barky with other dogs but is great with dogs he knows and good with people. He gets his coat stripped every couple of months. I like him a lot.

I'm not a fan of fox terriers, wire or smooth. Piercing yap, tend to be annoying, and the wires need stripping like Irish terriers do.

Not a big sample but just my impressions.

Love JRTs though. Proper dogs in small packages.
