Winter boots

I need some decent boots for walking over the winter. Something that can take getting a bit muddy, clean up well, keep feet warm & dry. I can't wear wellies as my feet freeze regardless of thermal socks, insoles etc. I have a pair of proper goretex walking boots but wouldn't mind something a little more stylish/boot like. Any suggestions?

The Aigle ones have a slight heel and a support/comfort sole. I have problem feet and find them better than hiking boots (I have the walking version of the Aigle ones which are designed for walking). I'm not sure how they work if you have thin calves though - I have quite big calves so they are perfect as they have an adjustable calf bit!

But where I am there is a lot of mud and I couldn't walk in leather boots - it would ruin them pretty quickly so I think it depends what you are going to walk through!

I have a pair of Sorel ankle boots but weirdly they aren't as supportive as the Aigle wellies
