Talk to me about these...do they get smelly? Do your dogs love them, truly?

My oldies love the Hik9 beds with the sheepskins.

They are totally machine washable and so comfy at least it looks like it from the dogs expressions Smile

OOh, thx Plly. We have HiK9 beds, so we'd be putting the sheepskins onto these.

I have had sheepskins.

Yes my dog loved them.

However, my dog is large and long coated and double coated and they trap and hold hair and dust and grit like you would not believe!

Unless they have been chemically treated you can’t wash them because the wool felts and the suede back goes hard.

I used to brush mine regularly with a slicker brush and vacuum it and shake it.
No matter how regularly I cleaned it, every time heaps of dust and grit would come out.

It was gorgeous to look at but triggered my DS and DM asthma and had to go.

I do think though if your dog is a non shedding non smelly type, greyhound or something and you don’t have any young messy children or asthma they are good.
