He's two years old, he's daft as a brush and so affectionate. Like I say, the best dog.

If you disagree feel free to post a picture of your dog. Yours won't be the best dog, obviously. But I'm sure they try their best.

Nooo, mine is the best!!! No photo. She is an ornery girl, mouths off at male dogs (especially if they are behind a fence) intensely jealous of who gets our attention, gobbles the cats food and pees in her bed when it’s too cold to go outside. Oh, and super arthritic now so we have to carry her into the car and out and hold her in our arms for the latter half of walks as her legs give out 😊 she is the bestest girl ever 👍🏼

Your dogs are all lovely, but clearly I have the best dog. Even when she’s trying to pretend she hasn’t been digging in the mud she’s still the best, sweetest, cuddliest, fluffiest dog around.

Well, good try from all the dogs here. But our dog is CLEARLY the best dog on the planet. Also the most beautiful. Apart from when she has a bath and looks like a bedraggled sea lion. She is also very kind and eats the cat poo in the garden therefore saving us from having to clear it up ourselves. So thoughtful!

I’m so happy that so many of the dogs on this thread are black - they say black dogs are the least likely to be adopted (no idea why!) so I’m glad it seems to be a false rumour, as I always worry about all the black dogs in the world and who will love them 😂 p.s. mine is brown, and the best boy, but I like black too

Ok, so my dog isn’t the best boy. But he is a very good boy and should deserve an honourable mention. He didn’t have the best start in life, and he has some big issues we are working on as he hadn’t been exposed to much so most days are learning experiences for him. He’s gotten over fears of the stairs, a collar and lead even other people (he would bark and lunge initially but is like a different dog now, still wary but LOVES his human friends he knows). He wasn’t socialised so has issues with other dogs but is so much better now, and has certain dogs he’s plays with like a dream. We are working with a behaviourist and I’ve had to change my life but to see him grow every day is so heartwarming. Every time I see him with this smile, I know the hard work is worth it.

Ah, what lovely photos! Love dogs, especially mine. Sam is my running buddy, loves going out for a run every day, rain, wind, snow, mud whatever. Also loves playing football and boules...

Mine's the happiest dog in town! He's always pleased to see people and makes me smile everyday

Those are all lovely dogs but I’m afraid none of them are the best. Because my gorgeous boy is. Without a doubt. The best of all dogs that ever lived. He is my shadow. My furry child. He’s given me ten of the best, most fun and love filled years. He’s coming to the end of his time with us now as he has lymphoma but he is just trotting about living his best life without a care in the world. Total champ. Stealer of hearts. And snacks.

I rather thought I’m the best

I hate to contradict anyone, but I have attached a photo of the Best Dog In The World. Arrived to us 2 months ago aged about 7 months, off lead because learnt recall within a week, and 90% house trained. Loves snuggles and chewing dirty socks. Turns recycling into 'reuse' as chew toys. Wants to play with anyone and everyone. Loves everyone and is high on life from 7am to 7pm, after which she curls up next to me, tucks her nose under her tail and is In Bed And Asleep.
