What has your puppy destroyed today?

I'm desperate for a dog. DHs work have decided that, even in the post-Covid world, he can work from home and I'm likely to continue homeworking for at least part of the week, so we are finally home enough, but with lockdown demand meaning that rescues are inundated with applications and waiting lists for breeders being so long, it's not likely to happen any time soon.

So, please put me off / lessen the blow by telling me what your pup has eaten / peed on / buried recently?

I'll start with the time my dad's dog ate the CD containing the only copies of their wedding photos...

Honestly, my DPup is 7 months and will eat absolutely anything.

She chews what she can get her paws on, which has recently included:

  • A backpack
  • A belt
  • Some knickers Blush
  • A pair of shorts
  • A laptop charger
  • And, just yesterday, my earmuffs that I had literally brought home four hours beforehand. And they were packed away, inside a hat, inside a bag.

I adore her, but it doesn't matter where I hide things, she will manage to find an opportunity to sneak in, grab the item she wants. and hide it until she gets a chance to chew it.

This list is not complete; there have been many other beloved items destroyed. She's bloody clever and will only do it when we are distracted eating our dinner. If she goes quiet, you know she is misbehaving!

She will also pick up all litter on a walk, and has definitely swallowed a good few items she shouldn't have done.
