I need a new coat for walking the dog, it needs to be warm and waterproof. Can anyone share their recommendations please?

I gave up trying to measure and buy online.
Took 3 ddogs to Pets At home and tried some on!!
Here are 2 with their £17 coat on!!

We've been recommended Blizzard coats, bought one for our rescue greyhound. Not tried it out yet though.

Equafleece all the way (they are waterproof despite appearances)

Aargh! Do you mean for YOU (not dog)? (rereading your post, could be taken either way).

If it's for yourself, then I recently purchased one of the 3 in 1 coats from Mountain Warehouse. Keeping the fleece attached and I am kept very warm and dry, it's lovely. Only downside is it's so nice that husband keeps wearing it!

Argh! Just re read and now maybe it does seem its for you! Sorry

I've had this for a couple of years now and it's still waterproof. I got a bigger size and when it's very I cold I add a Uniqlo light down jacket underneath to stay toasty. www.decathlon.co.uk/p/women-s-waterproof-hiking-jacket-nh550-imper/_/R-p-150340?mc=8384822&c=GREEN_KHAKI

Oops sorry op!! Obviously I love ddogs more than humans!!

Parkmama · 22/10/2020 23:19

Well it's actually me that's looking for a coat but I realise my post in the doghouse wasn't that clear so I was prepared to go with the dog coat suggestions! Thing is I have a Labrador who doesn't really need one Grin

I’ve just bought a regatta kagoule that I can say I’d tried and tested and definitely waterproof! And Also finally got waterproof trousers too.
I wear the regatta with a thick fleece under and it’s perfect... I get warm walking anyway.
