Think our 14 week old pup has a sensitive tummy. Or maybe the treats we are giving him are full of crap. Confused he’s never bursting for the loo but when he does go his poo is very soft and his farts are like sulphur. We’ve been giving him mini markies from pets at home as a treat. He’s been on the same food since he was with the breeder so I’m not convinced it’s that although I won’t rule it out... any tips on what you give your pup appreciated

Carrots. All our dogs love carrots. 1 dog we had would steal them out of the veg basket. Easy on their stomachs too. If it's a small puppy half a carrot Grin

Our dogs have just turned 1, we give them the food from 'butternut' which seems to suit them. It wasn't what the breeder gave them but their went off their original food

Freeze dried liver. He loves it.

Also carrots. Why do they like carrots?

Carrots they love carrots. One also liked the broccoli stalk although it made her fart even more. Scrambled eggs
Older dogs do like a little gravy bone as a reward.

Mine is so food driven we just use his normal kibble! For serious recall training cooked chicken, for bed time or nap time frozen carrot or a kong chew covered in plain yoghurt and frozen. Poos were definitely on the ‘mousse-y’ side when he got home (no change of food from breeder) but have ‘firmed up’ in the last week or so.

I never thought I’d write a sentence like that last one!! 😱😱

Try cubed dried fish skin, or dehydrated chicken pieces.

Or if not too rich for sensitive tummy, little cubes of cheese.

Bear in mind that sensitive tummy might arise from eating crap during walks - puppies will scarf down anything, from literal crap left by others, via berries, acorns and bits of stick to human food detritus and other litter.
