Anyone done a dna test on their dog?

I rescued my dog when he was 6 months old and have never known exactly what his breed is. We were told by the previous owner that he was a Jack Russell but I’ve had many and he most certainly isn’t one. I’ve had many suggestions over the years but would love to try one of those dna tests.
Has anyone tried one?

Did it wit wisdom panel about a year ago. Actually had a thread about it under a different user name.
Her chip said whippet x. When she put on weight we could tell she wasn't whippet.
She's actually a Belgian Mali x with a sprinkling of whippet.

We got him from dogs trust. They had him down as a Yorkie cross. Whenever we took him for a walk border terrier owners would ask if he was part border.
So we got his DNA done.
No yorkie in him (good as we live in Lancashire).
Mostly border terrier.
Border collie
Collie
Fox hair terrier
Whippet
So a real Heinz 57. And such a lovable dog.

I did the Wisdom DNA test on ours. The dog home had her down as a greyhound cross I think - test said mostly whippet and saluki with a bit of greyhound.

I distrust dog dna tests because so many mention rare breeds which would no way be indiscriminately breeding with mongrels or street dogs. If the results on an unidentifiable dog include Chow or Pekingese or something only found in Argentina then they are fake.

Her parents were crosses too - husky and malamute, collie and greyhound or whatever combination of parentage of these four breeds.

She's definitely all four, plus part giraffe, deer and bat.

We had our dogs dna done.
He’s half springer spaniel, quarter border collie and quarter rough collie. He acts just like a spaniel so no surprises really but does look quite border collieish.

We did the wisdom one from Amazon and it was pretty much as expected...the rescue we got her from had guessed what breeds she had in her and they got the two main ones right.

I’m currently torn between accumeasure (or whatever they’re called) and wisdompanel - probably eventually do both for comparative analysis 😀

He’s gorgeous, dry typical pug just a bit tall but may look that with being less chubby.
My guess would be that he was stolen too though why no microchip is a mystery.

I’ve had DNA tests done on some of my Skyes tjoughfir a different reason.
About twelve years ago the breed club arranged for all of them in the country to have it done. With them being so high on the Native British Breeds At Risk register there was some concern that with the dwindling breed pool perhaps some inherited conditions might creep in. Luckily there was no evidence of that happening, they remain a pretty tough bunch physically even if their character is not for everyone.
