I have a bit of a "problem" with the idea that every dog conforms to the usual norms of that breed.
for example, two dogs, same breed, one had died before we got the other, so no interaction. These were the dogs traits.
ONe, scared of nothing and no one
Two, scared of everything but people
One would do what you wanted , like being bathed, with a fair amount of grumbling involved
Two, would not, under any circumstances, do what they didn't want to do
ONe, could take the leavings of Sunday dinner and leave behind any veggies
Two, would eat veggies and fruit with gusto
One took to her bedroom when primary carer was away and had to be persuaded to come out for food
Two clearly missed primary carer when they were away, but would settle quite happily with any other human
Both were staffies, but has quite different temprements.
