We lost our cocker suddenly last Thursday and our 3yo sprocker has been very needy since a he has never been an only dog. The main problem is he is not interested in food and we are having to coax him to eat. He is on Millies Wolfheart. Any tips?

I feed Millies but I put a bit of raw mince/sardines or raw egg on it to give it a more interest.

He normally has a raw egg as well at breakfast but he is not interested in that either. DH is going to get some mince to try today. I took the cocklers collar out of my backpack to put away and he smelled it across the room and got so excited. He ran across and kicked the collar.

That so sad. Poor little chap. Must be really hard for you to see.

The mince sounds like a good idea.

If my dog needs a bit of encouragement to eat I usually find hand feeding can help get past the initial reluctance.
