Ok, so this may be completely bonkers but... my 8 month old male intact spaniel has been acting pretty strangely for the last few days: restless, won't settle, spooked by noises, very mouthy and even uncharacteristically aggressive towards another dog. He also almost seems a bit nervy round me - barks for attention but then is initially reluctant to come to me when called - and I'm usually the firm favourite.
I'm sure the most obvious explanation is that he is approaching peak adolescence, and this has nothing to do with it, but his behaviour has coincided with me getting my period. Could it be anything to do with that...? I haven't had one for more than three months so I haven't noticed this before.
