How to stop dog marking inside strange places?

Our pup is 7 months now and has started marking on walks which is fine. But we brought him to the pet store - he has been loads - and he marked inside there too (not ideal!!) now we are afraid to take him to a dog friendly hotel /restaurant in case he marks inside again.

He is fully tolerant trained and never marks in our house or any friends homes - although we haven’t visited too many people since he started marking.

Is there anything we can do to control this? Is it a possibility he will mark inside strange places going forward..

Should say toilet trained not tolerant trained haha

Tolerant trained could be handy though

I expect at the pet shop many dogs had peed in the same place and the smell was just too much to resist.

Watch his body language carefully and move him on quickly when you see him change to mark mode but it probably was a hard thing to resist in the shop in this instance
