Dog owners of Tooting/Mitcham - dangerous dog warning

This is probably outing but I don’t care. If anyone reads this who lives in the area and walks their dog around Figges Marsh, an elderly man with a black staffie walks there and his dog is dangerous. It attacked mine yesterday completely unprovoked and I’ve been informed it’s done it before. There is a police report active so if you’re local and have more information to add please PM me for the crime number. It could be a kid next time.

Dogs are perfectly capable of differentiating between dogs and children. Most dogs that have an issue with one are fine with the other.

To give you an example, mine HATES long haired german shepherds, but is fine with children, including unfamiliar children.

Unless you have evidence that this dog has issues with children too, then let's not make such claims.

I’ve been informed it’s also bitten a person by someone who witnessed another attack, so....

The problem is 100% the owner, but the dog needs to be removed from him as he can’t control it. He was completely unapologetic and belligerent, refusing to give his details and walking away. He doesn’t muzzle the dog despite three attacks that I know of.

Problem would be if the dog is attacking another dog and a child in the vicinity screams/makes a sudden move and the dog redirects onto said child.
