Posting on the off chance someone was a bystander-
I just turned onto a busy carriageway, when I noticed a loose dog scamper across the road around 200 yds ahead. Uh-oh, I thought, so I slowed down & as I got closer, a black spaniel (what else? ) darted in front of me going lickety split down the carriageway. I put on my hazards & paced him behind, looking for an opening on the verge I could herd him into. I almost managed it at the first opening, but he nipped ahead. I kept pacing him - man, he was fast, at least 20mph. Then after another couple hundred yards, there was a small row of houses, drives & front gardens. Here I was more successful & managed to direct him off the road. (Also, he must have been getting tired, surely?) Two cars back, someone stopped & kept out with leads, - hopefully the owner. I didn’t witness his capture, please god, he didn’t start running the other way - but hope he is now safe.
My heart was in my mouth the whole time, feared I would witness his demise, if he ran into opposite lane.
If anyone saw or heard of this, I am the person in the Yeti.
