Ok, so spaying as soon as you get her would definitely be a priority. You could also get a teeth clean and check etc done if needed whilst she is under, so she would be all sorted and no need to worry about later.

Also Dachshund means no grooming costs - so another advantage there! Just a quick once over with a baby wipe occasionally!

What colour is she? Red or Black and Tan?

Four is a great number. We had four for quite a while, and now six.
Whether you walk all four at once entirely depends on how good they are on/offlead and how their exercise requirements match.

I would have 4 if I had the room or possibly more lol.
I love dogs so much. X

I'd go for it. If you have 3 you might as well have 4. They're easy enough sizes to walk. X

Hi .
Just thought I’d up date ,I didn’t get her in the end ,2 of my dogs became ill and ended up at the vets at the same time ,It felt the wrong time ,I’m just about to do a thread asking for advice .

@Veganforlife I have four dogs so your not the only one. I have two senior dogs small breed and two huskies. I walk my huskies together and sometimes on their own one after the other. My two seniors have arthritis so I don't walk any longer on vets advice but have a 1/2 acre garden they can plod about in if they feel like it.

Bargebill19 · 16/07/2020 18:34

Yes I did. Four was easier to walk than three. All large breeds.
