I’ve seen a few of these online. Thought they might be useful for the dog we’re getting. Give her a little private space.,a gimmick or useful?

It'll depend on the dog I think. Anything we've ever bought our dog like that ends up never being used by them.

Depends on the dog. 2 of mine would have completely shredded it. All mine when they were younger were crate trained, and when temperature allowed it they had a blanket/sheet draped over the crate to provide a little seclusion. As I thoroughly crate trained them, from a very young age they would go lie in there crate to relax or take a treat or toy in there. The door was closed over night and when they were alone in the house to keep them safe. My current dog has not needed the crate since he was 18mo, very calm and settled. Now he has a basket with a squishy bed in.

Sorry - late to this. I guess it depends on the quality but my dog had something similar and if he sat at the side, it would tip over and scare him. It's in my shed now!
