Visiting other houses

As a dog owner would you take your dog to visit another house where they had cats&rabbits and Piggies?
The dog is a puppy who isn't house trained and is showing dominance issues with cats at home?

No.

not if theyre already past 16-18 weeks/ his socialisation window. mine was fixed on the animals he can/wont tolerate after that.

No. It would be too stressful.

Another no. Not unreasonable at all to ask visitors not to bring their dog.

No, the not being house trained is enough on its own.

No. I’ve never felt the need to take my dog to someone else’s house and I wouldn’t be happy with someone bringing their dog to mine.

As all my friends are also mad dog people then they have probably only invited me to see my puppy .

However I would never ever force my dogs on people and would not take them unless they were invited anywhere.

However no puppy is showing dominant issues towards a cat

How old is your puppy. I would not take my dogs around someone else's house unless they were invited and their pets were OK with animals. If the puppy is not toilet trained I would not be taking inside their house just incase it toileted in there. Dogs can be trained to leave cats alone at any age. However it is someone elses cat that may be terrified of dogs. My cats couldn't care less about dogs as they have always been around them however this isn't your cat so may be terrified.

Can't imagine expecting to take a dpuppy to anyone's home..
I remember taking our rottweiler dpuppy to see my dgm - we went every week and the older ddog always went - she didn't know about dpuppy..
She looked down and asked was it one of those rot-things?!
