Thread faking dog pts

Ok hq I know this will be taken down but am disgusted re pbp who made thread up about dog needing to be pts on its own due to covid. We had to have our beloved 15 yp fog pts just before lockdown (had a thread) and I've just been to the kitchen and had a wee cry thinking at least we got to be with her. What is wrong with someone to make that up?!!!

Some people are just attention seeking idiots.
Literally imagine them sitting in their sofa making up stories. It’s really weird.

It’s the sort of thing that’s guaranteed to get a response in the same way as Bridezilla threads and sick children so they can get their sick kicks , I can only assume they are very sad individuals and this is the only way they can get any attention . Sorry for your loss OP .

I'm fairly new on mn and find it so weird that people make stuff like this up. What do they get out of it?

Yes, I posted on that thread, as did so many other posters who kindly shared their stories in an effort to help the OP.

God knows what makes somebody make up cruel threads like that.

Same motive as all the other saddos who get their fun and attention out of posting upsetting stuff, I imagine.

Sadly not surprising when people make up sick and dead children. I’ve been taken in by a couple of those and then was so angry when it was all a lie. Loads of posters we’re sharing their own really tragic stories too

Not that unbelievable although it was made up - had to have dog pts and they did him with a long line in the back of the car whilst we all wore masks
