Dog swallowed cooked hicken thigh bone

Hi,
Earlier on, our dog (12 year old Bichon) managed to get hold of one cooked chicken thigh bone in the garden from our BBQ. I tried to get it out of his mouth but he swallowed itSad I can't sleep worrying! He appeared to be lip smacking earlier but my partner said it looked like he was just eating some of his food. He has drank quite a bit but it's real hot here. His belly is making some gargling sounds but his gums seem to appear usual colour. I'm so worried, someone please tell me he'll be ok!Sad

can you call the out of hours vets for advice? they'll either be able to put your mind at rest or tell you if you need to take him in

i would ring the vet

Ring the vet.

It might be ok - it depends on whether the bone splinters inside him.

I've helped with a dog this happened to and it was terrible! He will need help early rather than late.

Ring the vets asap
