I have a mini dachshund and can not get a nice comfortable and well fitted harness for her!

We had the puppia soft harness but she has lost weight (she was chubby) and the medium fit well but now she has lost weight it is far too loose around the neck. The small is far too small and rubs under her front legs.

Have purchased a 15 perfect fit and went through measurements with the company etc and it makes her limp! Someone else checked over the fit and looks ok but it isn’t.

Please tell me what harness you have??

I would get back to perfect fit - send them the video of it on your dog - they will sort it out and give you the right bits

I can’t get to a post office to return it. I don’t want to pay out for another one when it is not a good fit for her. There aren’t any other ‘bits’ to go with it and this was the one recommended for dachshunds so they don’t have any other options.

I do understand how hard it is at the moment.
However perfect fit will get one to fit even if it does take a while to try out the different sections.

If you video your dog in the harness you have they will see the bits they need to alter. If you say this to Perfect Fit they will probably send you several pieces and charge you when you have the right one - they did that to me with my three legged dog.

Pets at home do harness fitting. I asked last week if they were still providing the service and they said not officially but they can stand back and advise. I know they aren't the best but in this situation my be a reasonable option

Hi! Mine isn’t a Dachshund, I have a beagle x but have always struggled with getting collars and harnesses that fit well. She has a Labrador sized neck but is about the size of a small staffy, and nothing ever seemed to fit right. I stumbled across Moujik Dogwear on Instagram and liked the look of their stuff, so I posted on here to see if anyone had tried them but got no replies. I emailed the company to ask for advice on sizing and they were so nice and altered the sizing on the Day Tripper especially for my girl at no extra cost! It fits beautifully. Maybe worth giving them an email and seeing if they can help you?
