Grooming table for dog that hates grooming.

He’s a medium sized dog that doesn’t like to have his nails clipped or his fur brushed. Currently I’ve to put a muzzle on him when clipping his claws, although it’s got a lot better with calm reassuring persistence.
Lately he’s started to bare his teeth at me when brushing and I thought a grooming table where he can be better controlled would work? He’s a lovely dog otherwise. I never had a grooming table so I’m not sure if it’s a good idea? He tends to take over the top spot in the family sometimes but gets better when we stop this behaviour.

Do you know what might be causing the irritation around grooming?

I'm not sure putting him up higher would do much more than make him feel trapped and stress him out further.

I'm guessing you've tried soft brushes, lots of treats and positive fuss, using a brush on him very gently and casually while doing something else so it doesn't feel like An Event...?
