Vetmedin-does anyone's dog take it.

My beautiful dog has died and I have about 200 10mg Vetmedin tablets left. I thought that maybe the PDSA could take them but my understanding from looking online is that vets can't redispense medicines and I don't want to bother them to ask at the moment when they are only dealing with emergencies. if anyone's dog takes them could I send them to you? They have been properly stored and are well in date and everything.

So sorry for your loss.😢
I’m running low on my vetmedin but my dog only has the 1.25.
Perhaps try Facebook or NextDoor. Would be a terrible waste not to use it.

I’m so sorry that you’ve lost your lovely dog, it’s hard.
Yes, one of mine takes it but she’s a tiny Yorkie on just half of the very smallest dose. It would be a shame for them not to be used. Will the vet not take them back? When one of mine died last year he was on medication, cancer. The girl on reception said oh no, they can’t take them back, but when I spoke to my vet she took back the unopened ones & credited my account.
Failing that, have you any small rescue shelter in reach? They might be glad of them. Or as the other poster suggested, Next Door may have someone glad of them.
