Dog farting

Hi everyone
My dog is a 10 years old. For the last month or so he has been farting often and the smell is terrible. Never experienced this before. Immediately prior to this starting he had an anaesthetic to remove a broken tooth. Any ideas how to rectify? Should I try charcoal tabs? Take him back to vets? Thanks in advance for advice

Hi Lulufufu, I would try charcoal as it’s pretty good at settling tums. It could be that the anaesthetic has upset him; or something has changed in the recipe of his food. If he’s still as active as ever it may resolve itself.
My boy has some zingers sometimes but it’s usually traceable to cat or horse poo 😝

Thanks - will try some charcoal.
He's been a very unfarty dog for the last 10 years so I do think it's the anaesthetic!
