Moving to Millies Wolfheart

Listened to lots of positives about Millies Wolfheart so going to change my dog onto it as soon as I get the delivery.

I've taken their advice on what mix to get. They also said they recommend moving mixes every few months to avoid intolerances.

To change over from the original food they advise that they only need a couple of days. On day one to use 50/50 and day two all new.
It seems quick but I'm assuming it works otherwise they wouldn't advise it.

Has anyone else done it this fast?

I think i did 25, 50, 100, switching from canegen, butvyo be honest if we have run out now and forgotten to order Millie's we just swicth straight between the two with no ill effects.
Might depend on what you are feeding at the moment though.

He's on Origen at the moment which I think is higher in protein but otherwise similar.

I think I took 3 days and we had no problems at all.
Really impressive advice/ customer service.

Yes it's for lazy dogs too.

If you contact them they can recommend the right mix for your dog based on weight and the amount of daily exercise they get.

OP - we certainly switched over to Millie’s within a few days without I’ll effects. We also switch mixes every few months (Usually alternate between Countryside, Obedience and Salmon and Veg) and sometimes put her straight from one to the other and she’s absolutely fine.

Without ‘ill’ effects!

I thought it was raw food ? Is it kibble/canned?

My dog loved Laverstoke raw beef and bone - but they've stopped doing pet food

It's the kibble my dog will be having. Didn't look to see if they do wet

My 18 week lab loves her Millies wolfheart. She has a really shiny coat - noticed by everyone! We also use their treats.
We introduced it without any problems even though she has a sensitive stomach to many things

My dog bloody hates it! Which is a shame as I think it is a good food. He is on Gentle.

We moved ours on to Millie's months ago. We did it within a week. Now we move between flavours flavours straight away. Our Ddog loves the fish training treats and semi soft turkey treats too.

Mines been on it for years and I didn't know you were meant to switch foods to avoid intolerances!
When we've run out and are waiting for a delivery I have just given her a high protein kibble like James Wellbeloved. I think when we changed over initially though, it would have happened over a longish time as we would have had the original mix left. I think towards the end I would have just mixed it together in the big bag.
