Dog walking wellies recommendations

We've had Dpup nearly 2 months now and my old wellies have no proper sole and so are quite slippy which is no good at all when dpup fancies a little run along the paths. We're in a very wet and cold part of the country and so can imagine wearing wellies throughout the year.
Any recommendations? Is it worth spending £40 on a pair?
Thanks

I have a pair of neoprene lined Aigle Wellies that are fab! So comfortable to walk in even for 2-3 hours.

I'd avoid Joules (even though they do look pretty!) I've had two pairs that have both lasted less than a year, not far past 6 months. I've also heard that since Hunter boots stopped being produced in Scotland that the quality has gone downhill significantly but not sure if others can verify this? I'm also in the market for new boots after my Joules fails... Ironically the pair of boots I had before them were £12 in Tesco and lasted through 6 years of Welsh weather walks!

Another vote for hunters here. I've got the short glossy ones (easy to wipe down). I live in a very wet marshy area and these have been well worth the money.

I would avoid Joules too, mine were no longer waterproof after about 3 months.
Had plenty of cheap and cheerful wellies, they all eventually started leaking.
I splashed out on a pair of short Hunter ones just after Christmas, about £60 in the sale. I wear them a LOT - but we're only a few months in. So far so good though.

With Aigle Parcours, are they true to size? I'm normally a 5.5 and find wellies a pain to get the right fit.

Toria70 · 02/03/2020 13:49

Yes the Aigles are true to size.

Thank you. The OP's thread is something I've been wondering a while.

I thought this thread was about wellies for the dog. I'd be up for that, I'm fed up with Maggie's muddy paws after a run round the park.

Ladeheid Eva thermo extra light boots are fantastic! Mid calf length, totally waterproof, lined, £19.99 on Amazon. Come in several colours.
They are made from same kind of material as crocs and are super comfortable.

@rookiemere

I love them, they'd suit her....whether she'd keep them on is another matter! Grin
