She didn't - by letting her experience two large breeds I think she was hoping it would allow Delia to see sense.

Delia doesn't appear to be someone who would ever "see sense" - this is a lady who went to pick up an eight week old puppy with no carrier, no blanket and lugged the poor thing around in a taxi and on several trains to get it home!

Doesn't say much about the breeder either.

I'm struggling to understand why this show was made. If it was to highlight people irresponsibly getting puppies, it's not stressing it. The breeder Delia went to should have refused to let her take the puppy. I have high hopes for Jura and Hunter though.

Has this been on before? The Leonberger in a flat and a puppy training to be a mountain rescue dog?

I doubt it was a very reputable breeder as she seemed to go from wanting a Great Dane to getting a Newfoundland within about a fortnight!

Oh dear. Reality bites at puppy class for Delia. I hope she can get it together for both their sakes. That is going to be a BIG dog and if she is enormous and unruly that is a whole lot of trouble.

Oh @DeathByPuppy that made me so cross/sad/despairing.
I’ve recently got a second giant breed pup. They’re SUCH a lot of hard work. That programme just seemed mostly about people with no clue who had done no research and I just worried quite how badly it would all end. Wonder if they will do a catch up episode. I hope I’m wrong and every pairing was a success.

Some of the things they said and did this episode gave me hope.

Délia being so down and saying that it's the owner at fault not puppy - so she knows full well she has to work harder.

Pug owners - yes they want to do social media but they also clearly adore him and he as being trained and cared for.

The only ones I'm struggling to have sympathy for are the ones with the nail bar chihuahuas. They have so little proper exercise and training. They are just toys.
