Smelly splint/cast

Hi

One of our dogs has had a splint/cast on one of her hind legs since Friday and she can't help but get wee on it when she goes to the toilet bless her and it is really starting to stink of urine already.

Would it affect the integrity of the cast at all if I maybe sprayed a little bit of febreeze on it to try and neutralise the smell a bit does anyone know please?

Speak to the vet or a vet nurse on Monday - they may be able to put the cast lower or give you a cover for it.

No I would spray it with febreeze.

I would speak to the vets and see if they need to change it and give you a cover.

I remember a vet nurse fashioning some left over packaging they had to provide a water proof cover for my dogs leg dressing once which I used when he had to toilet outside
