Missing my dog

My gorgeous border terrier died in 2019. I'm not able to get another dog as life is v different to when I got my lovely bt. I'm really missing him just now. Its been months but for some reason I feel like there's a bit missing just now.

Can I shamelessly ask for pics of your lovely doggos? I need a virtual dog fix as I do t have one here to tickle and tummy rub

Aw you have my sympathy. I lost mine last year aged 16 as well and like you I can't really get another atm.

I do look after a couple of others when their owners go away, had them both over Christmas, which was nice.

We lost a dog in april 2019 and adopted this crazy lady in august!

Ahhh sending you lots of love. My dog Toby passed away in August and I still randomly cry about it. So I know how you feel. I miss him so much, dogs have a special part in our heart. I have been lucky enough to get a new puppy which has helped, here's a pic to cheer you up of my cute, mischievous little bugger!

And @Stellaris22, my good friend lost her basset a year ago. He was brilliant. Used to love it when he climbed on me for a cuddle. His bum would still be getting up while his head was snuggled in already, he was so long!

Aw I lost my Patterdale terrier in November OP - I don't cry every day anymore, I'm getting used to life without her, but I still have random bursts of tears and feel like I have something missing in my heart. We would love a BT next time around, but like you life is so different now that we would struggle to have a new dog at this point.

I'm sorry you lost your lovely border terrier. I no longer have my cavalier spaniel and miss her every day, my circumstances don't allow me to have another dog, maybe never and I feel really sad about that. Here's a picture of her. She was the loveliest dog I ever met.

Awh @WhoisitnowRalph she was a little gem by the looks. It's v hard isn't it? I think I've been brushing it off and not recognising the effect it's had. Its really hit me this weekend for some reason.

Aw, so many of us here feel for you and know the loss. How awful that you can't take on another loving furball. There's no replacement but have you considered a rabbit?
