Exercising a dog with kennel cough

So after recovering from her tummy bug our 5.5 month old puppy has kennel cough.

The vet said to exercise her only where dogs don't go. Which there isn't really anywhere near us. We have a garden, but it isn't big.

Already today she is getting frustrated and keeps trying to tell me she hasn't had a walk. We've done some training and some playing in the garden, but she's not happy!

Any other suggestions? She rubbish at sniffing games, you have to basically point it out to her!

I would walk just on the lead on the pavement so you can cross the road if you see another dog.

I walked mine on a lead at a quieter time. If any dogs came towards us we moved out of the way.

In theory if your dog is on a lead other owners shouldn't let their dog approach yours. I've found that's not the case but that's not your dogs fault.

I would just walk on the lead and cross the road when another dog approaches.

Thanks. I just took her out round some really quiet back streets and crossed over once when another dog came. She was sooo happy!
