My dog has a cold

She is sneezing a lot. She isn’t coughing as such, so I don’t think it’s kennel cough, but she sprays a little moisture o to the floor when she sneezes.

Should I be alarmed? By pure coincidence she has a vet’s appointment booked for tomorrow morning for her 6 month check up. Can I do anything tonight to keep her comfortable?

She doesn’t seem unwell, as such, but she is more sleepy than normal.

Can dogs get colds?

When mine was sneezing lots my vet said it could be a foreign body up there or an allergy. Given that it was both nostrils and the discharge was clear we treated it as an allergy and it eventually cleared up.

Not sure what you can do for now until you have seen your vet.

Maybe there is something your DM is wearing that is causing a bit of an allergic reaction?

We have to dose BiteyDog up with piriton for several weeks (our vet recommended this) a year as he seems to get either a runny nose, sneezing or gloopy eyes.
