So had the op today and didn't really know what to expect after but omg dog has not stopped crying since I got her home at 12pm. Like literally not for a second. She's a proper drama queen anyway but I just don't know if this is normal or I should be worried enough for out of hours vet.
Not sure if it's pain or the change in her routine of the slaves jumping up and down to let her in and out the door all night. Nothing is comforting her!
I think I'm just posting for some reassurance- or not - that recovery will not be this bad for the next 8-12 weeks?

I used to walk a dog that had a cruciate ligament repair. He had physio and hydrotherapy. Jumping is an absolute no no.

Your vets know what op she had and they know your dog so I am sure their advice is the best for her case, don’t panic!

She is gorgeous.

My girl had cruciate surgery two years ago - we were told she must not jump and she was kept behind a pen for two weeks to limit any movement. After that she was not allowed to jump or do much for six weeks. We put barricades up in front of the couch so she could not jump onto it. We all ended up sitting on the floor for six weeks Smile

I think your vet has been quite unhelpful with regard to after care, if you find out exactly which procedure she has had you could google aftercare, there is a lot of information out there.

My advice would be to take things very very slowly. Good luck
