My beautiful 13yr old girl sadly passed away today. One minute she was fine and cocking her back leg for a good old scratch, in the next she had a stroke. Less than a 90min turn around from home, to vets, to peaceful passing. To quote the wonderful vet; 'Dogs are like small children. They don't always understand what's happening, but they put their complete faith in us to take good care of them'. Sleep well Lily dog, you're such a good dog 🐕

So sorry, it's so hard.
But a good way to go.. my 19 yr old cat did the same this year..one minute old but pottering around...next a massive stroke and goodbye... far better than a slow lingering illness, tho it feels like small comfort when you are missing them horribly xx

I am so sorry. But I am glad she had you to love her and a quick death. x
