oral papilloma

hi there
I think my 18 month old dog has an oral papilloma, matches the description I've read. Is it right that they just go of their own accord? If I go to the vet will they actually be able to do anything?

I don't know much about them but I would want to check with a vet anyway in case it was actually something else.

went to the vet who said it is epulis but having looked at photos of both it really doesn't look like it to me. Anyway, she just said to monitor, and can take it off it gets in the way of eating etc.

Fingers crossed it either goes or stays the same. They are such a worry aren't they
